Cosafe users can now send alarms to SOS Alarm’s emergency call center directly from the Cosafe app. Through a new collaboration agreement between Cosafe and SOS Alarm, the school safety concept is expanded, making more services available to schools.
In the fall of 2020, Cosafe launched the School Safety concept across Sweden, and six months later, the company reached the milestone of 50,000 students. Now, Cosafe is taking the next step in developing the School Safety concept by signing a collaboration agreement with SOS Alarm Sverige AB regarding their School Security service.
The partnership between SOS Alarm and Cosafe means that schools using Cosafe can connect their alarms directly to SOS Alarm’s emergency call centers. SOS Alarm then takes action according to predefined alarm response plans. SOS Alarm has the ability to respond in various areas, utilizing resources such as the police, ambulance services, rescue services, security guards, and other relevant actors.
“Schools should be a safe place for students and teachers, but unfortunately, we are seeing a shift in daily realities. Through the collaboration between SOS Alarm and Cosafe, we are strengthening our ability to create an effective school security service,” says Ronny Berg, Partner Manager at SOS Alarm.
Every month, SOS Alarm also sends an incident report to the individual school and the school authority. A school authority managing multiple schools thus gains an enhanced situational overview, decision-making support for targeted measures, and opportunities for follow-up—integrating these into the school’s safety and quality work.
“Cosafe’s security and communication platform is currently used by school authorities representing over 50,000 students. Our success lies in providing a simple and efficient tool for managing and coordinating security measures in critical situations. The collaboration with SOS Alarm is the final piece of the puzzle in our school safety solution, helping to prevent and minimize the impact of incidents in the school environment,” says Alexis Nicou, CEO of Cosafe Technology.
The collaboration began in May 2021, and the new additional services are now available for schools to order via Cosafe Technology.
